Closed Session

The Executive Officer reported the following:

Consistent with Government Code section 11126, subdivision (c)(7), the Commission met in Closed Session with its real property negotiators regarding the assignment application from ExxonMobil to Sable Offshore Corporation of four leases that support the Santa Ynez Unit, offshore Santa Barbara County.

In addition, in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code section 11126, subdivision (e)(2)(b), the Commission considered and accepted a settlement proposal from Plains Pipeline LP to settle the Commission's legal claims in the matter of the State Lands Commission et al., v. Plains Pipeline LP, et al.

Finally, also in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code section 11126, subdivision (e)(2)(b), the Commission considered a settlement offer by the Trustee of the Venoco LLC Estate to resolve the outstanding litigation in the matter of Eugene Davis v. State Lands Commission. The Commission voted to reject the proposed offer and proposed a counteroffer, and will transmit that counteroffer to the Liquidating Trust.
