Consistent with Government Code section 11126, subdivision (c)(7), the Commission met in closed session with its real property negotiators regarding the assignment application from ExxonMobil to Sable Offshore Corporation of four leases that support the Santa Ynez Unit, offshore Santa Barbara County.

The Commission also in Closed Session considered the matter involving Coast Ranch LLC, pursuant to Government Code section 11126, subdivision (e)(2)(B), at the point there is significant exposure to litigation against the Commission due to an illegal dispute between the Commission and Coast Ranch regarding the liability for the remediation of a parcel of land owned by Coast Ranch, identified by Assessor Parcel No. 060-010-042. This parcel was used, in conjunction with the adjacent state-owned parcel known as the Rincon Onshore facility, to produce oil and gas from state leases. To resolve the dispute and avoid the time and expense of litigation, the Commission accepted an offer by Coast Ranch to resolve the matter.
